Last week TC was at Martinsville Speedway attempting to qualify the Kirk Shelmerdine #43 for Sunday’s Subway 500 Nextel Cup event. Unfortunately the team was unable to muster enough speed to make the show and Teddy was headed back north early.
This Sunday TC will be at Stafford for the completion of the CARQUEST Fall Final. Qualifying was held back on September 30 before rain washed out the remainder of the program. The highlight of the day will be the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 150, the final race on the 2006 schedule. Teddy will line up sixth in the Al-Lee Installations #36 and hopes to end the season with his fourth WMT victory of the year.
TC has just announced his plans for the 2006 North-South Shootout at Concord Motorsport Park on November 3-4. He will be back in familiar surroundings, driving the Brady Bunch #00 for Joe and Linda Brady. They have enjoyed considerable success together in the past and hope to add to that with a Shootout triumph.
“I am very pleased to be driving for Joe and Linda at Concord,” says TC. “We have won a lot of races together over the years and they always give me a good racecar to drive. The crew works hard and they are a great bunch of guys. It should be a fun weekend but we are going there with one goal – to win. I think we have a good shot and I can’t think of a better way to get it done than driving the #00.”
The sands in the hourglass are running out quickly on 2006.
