Teddy had a busy schedule planned last weekend. It began as it usually does, racing the #13 SK Modified at Stafford on Friday night. The lineup for the 40-lap feature saw him starting tenth. In a race that saw few caution flags, Glenn Griswold started from the pole and took the early lead. Jimmy Blewett took command when Griswold spun on lap 14. On the next restart Woody Pitkat took command and was never seriously challenged for the win. Teddy eventually worked his way into second with his main challenger for the Stafford point title, Keith Rocco, finishing third.
“Woody got to the front early and built up a lead,” explained TC. “We were just a little off the mark. We’ve made some changes to the car this week and I think we’ll be a lot more competitive in the CARQUEST SK 150 this Friday night.”
On Saturday night Teddy headed north to All-Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire for a program of triple 50-lap features for the Super Late Models. He was driving the Jay Cushman Racing entry he has raced at Speedweeks in Florida the past few seasons. His best effort at All-Star came in the first 50-lapper, where he started third and finished second to local favorite J.R. Baril, In the second 50 he finished a solid fourth behind winner Jay Sands. He was in contention for the overall title but a disappointing eighth place finish dashed his hopes as Baril came back to win the third 50-lap segment and was named the overall winner.
This weekend Teddy will confine his racing to Friday night at Stafford as he focuses on the 5th Annual CARQUEST SK 150 and his quest for the 2008 Stafford SK Modified championship.
