After more than a month off following the World Series at New Smyrna, TC is eager to jump back into the cockpit and go racing. Another trip south is involved, this time to Russell Hackett’s Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina for the opening race on the 2007 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour schedule. Caraway is one of Teddy’s preferred tracks and he has enjoyed success in the past on the fast oval. He is the two-time defending champion of this event. He returns to Caraway in familiar surroundings, at the wheel of the Brady Bunch #00 of Joe and Linda Brady. TC is confident all the pieces are in place for another strong effort to kick off the 2007 “regular season.”
“Joe, Scott and the crew always give me a good racecar to drive,” says TC. “We’ve had a lot of success together over the years and it feels good to be ‘coming home’. Caraway is one of my favorite racetracks and we have done well here in the past, including our win in this race the past two years. We are coming back to repeat on Saturday. It would be a great way to get the season started before things begin back up North. I know the Southern guys are going to do their best to make sure that doesn’t happen. It’s going to be a real battle. I can’t wait for Saturday night!”
The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour 150 at Caraway Speedway is scheduled to take the green at 8 pm on Saturday night.
